Dr. Paul Stuart Wichansky

Sharing the voice and vision of courage and optimism.

Motivational and Keynote Speaker for Schools, Colleges, Companies, and Organizations.

Dr. Paul Stuart WichanskyMeet Dr. Paul, motivational speaker

I was born with cerebral palsy and a hearing loss. My family and friends have never allowed me to see these disabilities as "robbing" me of a chance to lead a normal life. Rather, I have worked hard over the years to transform obstacles into unique opportunities for self-improvement, and enjoy hosting presentations designed to show my audiences, by example, how they can also do the same.

Since I was ten years old, I have hosted uplifting motivational programs to share valuable insights that have allowed me to triumph over these challenges to reach a dream I have had for many years: to learn to walk. (I was in a wheelchair for seven years.) These are assemblies designed to inspire my young audiences and help instill the hope, energy, and inspiration that motivates them to realize their own goals and dreams.

Over 35 years later, my story has reached hundreds of thousands of youth and professionals in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and nationwide. I remember speaking to high-school students at peer leadership conferences, motivating thousands of athletes and coaches at the Special Olympics, and inspiring government representatives at the United Nations. My keynotes have also been requested by many college administrators and professionals in the financial, pharmaceutical, medical, and public-service industries.

Paul Wichansky is Making Waves with David HasselhoffI have earned a Ph.D in environmental science and meteorology. As the lead author of peer-reviewed scientific articles, I have received recognition from both NOAA and NASA for my school outreach and research activities.

My heartfelt letter to actor David Hasselhoff offers insights into an important life philosophy. The letter explains how the 1980s Knight Rider television series helped me understand (at an early age) that each of us can be heroes - in other words, ordinary people who triumph over extraordinary circumstances - like our favorite television characters do each week. David has generously published the full letter in his official memoirs, titled "Don't Hassel the Hoff." My letter also remains the only fan letter that David has included in his autobiography.

Reflecting upon the enthusiasm generated by my assemblies, A Vision in Motion Speakers Bureau writes, "A champion motivational speaker in front of any audience, Dr. Paul's own life experiences are a true testament to the unrelenting power of courage and unconditional love, shared through his experiences and feelings of self-criticism, reflection, humor, joy, and, ultimately, triumph."

I am indeed available to speak at your school, college, or organization, even under short notice! Need a motivational speaker right away? Thanks for giving me a chance to shine the spotlight on your students to help them unleash the power and confidence to be successful in life.
