Reluctantly competing against the funniest students from 22 colleges and universities in New Jersey, Paul was judged a 2008 New Jersey King of Campus Comedy finalist by professional comedians. Notably, it was his first time ever at stand-up comedy! He incorporates self-deprecating humor and makes his students feel like the Heroes we all know they can be.
Each of us can be heroes - in other words, ordinary people who triumph over extraordinary circumstances - like our favorite television characters do each week. Paul's heartfelt letter to actor David Hasselhoff offers unique insights into his captivating presentations. Paul wrote a heartfelt thank-you note to David, explaining the ways he was inspired by the Knight Rider slogan, “One man can make a difference.” David responded to Paul's letter, asking him if he can include the full letter in his memoirs, originally titled “Making Waves,” which is published in several languages around the world. Paul's letter remains the only fan letter that David has included in his autobiography.
A champion motivational speaker in front of any audience, Dr. Paul's life experiences are a testament to the unrelenting power of courage and unconditional love, shared through his experiences and feelings of self-criticism, reflection, humor, joy, and, ultimately, triumph.
